How Overhang handles your data.

The short version

What stays on your device

Sessions, climbs, workouts, sets, gym configurations, bodyweight entries, and settings live in a local SQLite database on your phone. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or backed up to a remote service. There is no Overhang server.

Apple Health

Under Settings → Apple Health you can turn on two optional, opt-in integrations, both off by default:

Health data is never transmitted off the device by Overhang. Turn either off anytime in Settings; iOS access can also be reviewed or revoked under Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

What is never collected

Overhang contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs and makes no network requests. During the beta, Apple's TestFlight may collect crash logs and feedback you choose to send — that data is governed by Apple's privacy policy, and Overhang itself embeds no crash reporting.

Deletion

Uninstalling Overhang removes the local database with it. Because nothing ever left the device, there is no account to close, no cloud copy to delete, and no data retained elsewhere.
